An on line tour to discover another side of Florence: The Oltrarno, literally, the other side of the Arno, the river that cuts the city into two parts. The part that once used to be the poorest, today is the most genuine and coolest neighborhood. Here the citizens have developed an incredible skill for arts and crafts and the artisans still have their workshops and continue the old traditions that make Florence unique in the world.
The tour will start just right across Ponte Vecchio, from here we’ll begin our journey to know more about the real heart of this city. We’ll visit a paper workshop, to see how they make the beautiful patterns that you find on the Florentine paper, then we’ll go to a shoemaker where shoes are still made by hand, we’ll see the Pitti Palace, the Church of Santo Spirito and Its beautiful square, this, and much more. A real dive into the Florentine tradition.
